MLB Betting – Who’s Hot MLB’s Hottest ‘Over’ Teams

Even though the numbers have slowed down in recent weeks, statistically speaking, run production this season is as high as it’s ever been for MLB bettors in baseball history! Which teams are knocking the ball out of the yard and struggling with their arms? Here’s BetUS Sportsbook’s list of the top ‘over’ teams for the L/5 days of sports betting!

(Rank) (Team) (O/U Record) (O/U Record in L/5)

1: Arizona Diamondbacks (30-27-3) (5-0 in L/5) It’s not often that teams that average 4.28 runs per game end up on a list like this, but when you’re consistently allowing at least six runs in every game that you play, it happens. That’s where Arizona finds itself, having allowed an average of 6.60 runs per game in its L/5. The D’Backs haven’t “struggled” per se on offense during this stretch either. They’ve score at least three runs in all five games, with their average run production coming in above average at 4.80 runs per game. All of that parlayed with the fact that none of their lined ‘totals’ have been above 9 in the L/9 games has led to six straight ‘overs’. However, with the Giants, Astros, and Royals on deck, the ‘unders’ should start rolling in soon. If not, there’s going to be a lot of explaining to do from a pitching staff that was supposed to be one of the best in the bigs coming into this season.

2: San Diego Padres (29-26-3) (4-1 in L/5) Padres bettors had seen five straight games sail past the ‘total’ before beating SP Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers 3-1 as +192 underdogs on Wednesday night. 1B Adrian Gonzalez is still on pace for around 60 dingers, though it’s been almost a week since he blasted his 22nd home run of the season. Without him though, the Padres would be absolutely nothing offensively, as he accounts for almost half of the team’s home runs. For a team that only averages 3.97 runs per game (29th) and has a team batting average of an embarrassing .236 (30th), imagine how bad they would be without the man who is likely to be one of their All-Star representatives? Yet, they’ve still found a way to scrape together 25 runs over the L/5 games to produce the ‘overs’.

3: St. Louis Cardinals (27-30-3) (3-1-1 in L/5) Manager Tony LaRussa would rather not see his team on this list. The Cards had dropped five straight before winning 13-4 last night, and in spite of the fact that the team hadn’t scored more than three runs in a game since June 2nd, it had still gone 4-1-1 for ‘over’ bettors in its L/6. That’s bad news for Dave Duncan’s pitching staff. The Cards have allowed a whopping 6.83 runs per game in their L/6, which is unacceptable for a pitching staff that once-upon-a-time led the majors in ERA. That number is up to 3.91, which is still sixth in baseball, but if things don’t turn around soon, Duncan and LaRussa will be pulling their hair out.

And the rest…

4: Oakland Athletics (28-30) (3-2 in L/5)
5: Kansas City Royals (28-29-1) (3-2 in L/5)
