Just the factsHere are some extra numbers.Yankees ump. In 2009 home faves -181 and up went 0-3 with Dreckman.Boston ump.Home favs -181 and up went 4-1 in 2009Under 9.5 went 6-5 under.CHW UmpHome favs -160 to -180 went 3-0 in 2009 with GormanUnder 9 went 6-1 underWhat just missedLAA/BOS Under 9.5I like to see a team work 9 games with an ump. We don't have that. Both teams have only worked 6 games with Hoye.Santana has never worked with Hoye. Lester has going 1-0 and 1-0 under. While the Angels have went 3-3 ov/und with Hoye....Boston is 6-0 under !Bottom line...If you already liked the under. Then you have enough info here to back that play up.Last year Hoye went 25-13 under. Only allowing an average of 8.80 runs per game.He also was 2 to 1 strikouts to walks.Had we seen at least 9 games with both teams and one with Santana. This would have been an official playBut for nowAction Play #1LAA/BOS Under 9.5 -125 Betus
This one was not close to an official play. However I like a the fact our ump has a strong lean for the home team.Last year Adrian Johnson was 24-11 for the home team.If you take away home dogs his record drops to 17-9 for the home teams.Last year Home dogs were 7-2 with Adrian behind the dish.Do I like Hamels...Uhh No !. Could blow the whole damn thing up.See he is 1-3 with Johnson and Philly is only 4-6 the last 10.Of course 3 of those 4 wins were at home.If Hamels is on. Then that 1-3 gives us an edge. Since at least he has a history with the ump.We hit close to this same spot last week on official plays.Philly opened as a dog and now are -110. This with the action and the touts on the other side. It's worth a shot as an action play.Action Play #2Play on Philly -110 Betus
A real bittersweet 2-0.Right now I'm not sure when the next thread will be.What I do know is I will be present at the memorial for Ernie Harwell and the funeral if possible. Thanks toTheBDCOscarLaker and JJ for the help todayRIP Erniehttp://www.youtube.com/v/9nFmiIhMK-o&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xd0d0d0&hl=en_US&feature=player_detailpage&fs=1

I'll post the batter vs pitcher stats for Wednesday just in case.I don't have any memories or firsthand knowledge of Ernie Harwell, but I knew who he was and was aware that he was a broadcasting legend. To me, there's not that many team affiliated announcers that I would recognize without having to really think about it or look him up. Ernie Harwell would be right there with Harey Carey, Vin Scully, Red Barber, Mel Allen and Scooter Rizzuto.RIP Ernie Harwell, you touched millions doing what you loved best. It don't get any better than that.

It don't get any better than that. The Brewers Bob Ueker is the only radio announcer the Crew has had in 40 years in Milwaukee. He just had heart surgery Friday and is doing well by all accounts. Me and my guys sent him a plant at Fredert Memorial Hospital where he had the procedure. A lot of memories of my life include Bob Ueker when I was a kid listening to games on the radio every night.

It is my largest play of the day, and anyone that pays attention to my past analysis will remember me playing the under when both teams are coming off extreme offensive performances. Last night's 17-8 final certainly qualifies, what with the Red Sox taking out a week's worth of frustrations with 20 base hits and the Angels chipping in 12 themselves. Lester was awful his first 3 starts, but is rolling now with B2B scoreless outings. Really good pitchers tend to stay on a roll for 5 or 6 starts at a time once they get in a groove, and Lester certainly is "very good". Santana is consistent and usually goes 6 or 7 innings and allows 2-4 runs. Predicted final score based on what I see is Boston 5 Angels 2

If Bo Sox trend didnt douche down the % I would of had an offical on Under as well, as LAA is 70% to the Under...
Great work today fellas, GL tomorrow.
Uuuuek has to be mentioned with the others. He transcended across all regions and provided a humerous approach to baseball broadcasting while offering an insiders viewpoint All the legends offered a unique style that multiple generations could appreciate. For me, Ralph Kiner, Bob Murphy and for awhile Lindsay Nelson had me listening to Mets baseball every night on the radio. Even post 1969. They were family members to me.I hope Bob Uecker makes a speedy recovery and he didn't settle for a room on the hospital rooftop!
