WHERE DO YOU THINK LEBRON WILL END UP?

NO CHI-TOWN BIAS HERE, BUT IF HE IS TRUE TO HIS WORD ABOUT WANTING TO WIN NOW, THE BULLS ARE WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE BEST CHOICE.

HOWEVER, HE'S GOT THE WEIGHT OF THE WHOLE STATE OF OHIO ON HIS SHOULDERS.  WHICH MAY FORCE HIM TO STAY.

I THINK IT COMES DOWN TO THE CAVS OR BULLS.  beer2

No, sir, I have no experience but I'm a big fan of money.  I like it, I use it, I have a little.  I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in.

Comes down to Cavs and the Bulls...

I think the Cavs are working behind the scenes to obtain Bosh or CP3....

I hope the Cavs

ME TOO.

THAT AND THEY DON'T HAVE AS MANY PIECES AROUND HIM THERE.

I KNOW AMARE IS ALL BOUT SIGNED THERE, BUT I THINK IS ONE OF THE MOST OVER RATED PLAYERS IN THE NBA.

NO OFFENSE BUT I DON'T THINK EITHER WANT TO PLAY IN CLEVELAND.  AND I FEEL LIKE MANY FEEL THAT WAY AS WELL.

ALSO I READ SOMETHING ABOUT HOW THE RAPTORS ARE PRETTY MUCH SAYING NO ON A SIGN IN TRADE WITH BOSH.

HE'S BASICALLY IGNORED THEM THE OFF SEASON THEY SAID, SO THEY ARE SAYING FUCK YOU.

YOU DIDN'T HELP US OUT, WE WON'T HELP YOU OUT IN GETTING THAT 6 YEAR DEAL.

I read that too... they didn't say it was dead..but just about with Bosh

Thing is... no one wants to go to Cleveland because they don't know if James is going to be there and for how long.... if James takes a 5 or 6 year deal...it could help the Cavs obtain a better free agent

I give the edge to the Cavs vs the Bulls for two reasons...

Home town...

Gilbert has shown he has no problem paying that luxury tax ... were Reinsdorf has shown in the past he wont

When it comes to an NBA game I never miss it.
Don't watch. So don't miss it  foclaugh

But from all the reading I have done about this.
Cavs or Bulls seems like the front runners.
If the Cavs can land an elite player to go with him. Then I think he stays put.
But if they are trying to sell him on maybe they will. Then the Bulls have the better shot.
Since they have the cap space to land two high profile players.

If he leaves Cleveland. Well sorry for the Cavs fans. But he is not the first stud player to leave a franchise.
Everybody wants to be quick to point out what him leaving does to that team.
Well boo hoo
Hire a GM that can scout well. Has a good handle on current NBA players.
Then in a year or two you can be competitive again.
They could have done more when they had him to keep him

Kind of respectfully disagree with your last statement Game.

I feel that the Cavs have given him all they could and more....  Look at the trades/acquistions over the last few years and the gave him...  yes...I would say not all have worked out... but they definately have tried.

Mo Williams
Delonte West
Wally Szerbiak
Joe Johnson
Ben Wallace
Shaq

They have had they highest payroll over the last few years.... and they have won second most games over the last 5 years just behind the Spurs I believe...

They have tried but they haven't tried hard enough, in my view. BTW, you left Jamison off the list.

But, if you take a look at all those guys, NONE of them is an elite player.  A guy that can help take the pressure off of Lebron.

Remember a couple years ago Kobe was bitching about how he had no help and questioned the Lakers commitment to winning?

Well what did they do to make their star player happy?  They went out and got Pau Gasol.  A top 3 center in the NBA. Making them an elite team over the past 3 years. And the Lakers haven't looked back since.

As far as winning percentage, thats all well and good, but all the wins don't mean shit without a ring or trophy to back it up.  The regular season doesn't mean much.  Look at how the Celtics treated it this year, they rested guys longer, so they'd be healthy and ready for when it really counts.  When people talk about all the regular season wins talk with any team, I always think of the Bulls season when they won the most games in NBA history.  They finished 72-10.  And what was their slogan after the regular season ended?

"72-10 don't mean a thing, without a ring!"

That says it all in my opinion.

I agree with everything you just said Hova...

It will be interesting...   I have always wanted to Cavs to get that number 2 man... that can really step up...  but... we will see what happens... this is going to be a long 3 day wait....

at least for me

It will also be interesting to see if Wade goes back home...

I am hoping he does...that would be almost for sure Lebron stays...

I don't think they can afford both...

Yeah everyone thinks, because ESPN tells them, that the Heat and Bulls can just sign these guys no problem.

Well the Heat can't sign all 3 without someone taking less money, and the Bulls have the same problem with signing 2 players (they are $4 mil short I believe.)

I don't care how many championships you can guaruntee.  James, Bosh, and Wade won't be taking less money anywhere.  They still have to look out for themselves.

The Heat need to trade Beasley and the Bulls need to trade Deng to clear the room.  Problem is no one wants either of these guys.  Beasley's a head case and Deng has a terrible contract paying him way too much.

I'm actually really nervous as well.  I think if the Bulls don't get Lebron they may be fucked.  So for me its Lebron or bust.  If Lebron stays I think Wade stays and brings Bosh.  Then the Bulls are stuck.  And they will end up with someone like David Lee or Amare, over paying them.  Just like in 2000 with Ron Mercer.

I would agree...  no one ...NO ONE... is going to take less... especially wade or lebron....

Bosh won't just because he is a free agent at the right time...    Bosh cannot handle the pressure of being a number one guy... that is why he will wait to see what wade and lebron do...

I have read... take it for what is worth... but you never know with all the rumors.. and false reports...

Lebron has narrowed it down to Chicago, Cleveland and New Jersey...

I agree 100% on Bosh, he's a great great player.  But like you said he likely can't carry a team, and has the benefit of being a free agent at the right time.

That makes sense about the 3 teams.

Chicago- Best win now option
Cleveland- Home town and pressure
New Jersey- New owner, new commitment to winning and promise to make him a billionaire

Those were the 3 teams I always thought would have the best chance.

I never believed the BIG 3 in Miami, just because LeBron would look like Robin to Wade's Batman there. Plus who the hell would be on the team besides those 3? rofl

And the Knicks, lets face it, suck.

Just read this:

The Hawks and Joe Johnson have finalized a six-year contract worth around $120 million, according to beat writer Sekou Smith.

He's another great player, but not a max guy in my eyes.  He would have been crazy to turn down this money from ATL.

That signing hurts the Bulls as well if they don't get LeBron.

Don't forget... Lebron's good buddy Jay - Z  is in NJ as well...

LeBron waiting till end of camp to announce FA decision makes sense. Easier to teach Akron kids how to dribble when they're not crying.

My GM comment was geared toward the point you made on the players they got.
Different sport.
But for a few years the Wings were great at building teams that would win the most games.
The same team was also good at not winning the cup.
It took Bowman and a few others to teach the rest of the front office you need role players and grinders to win a championship.

Here is another example. Look at the world baseball classic last year.
The USA fielded a better lineup than the all star game line ups.
They won nothing
When you have big boppers. Good pitching can shut that down.
You need the little guys that can scratch out infield hits. Guys that can make productive outs.
Guys that have no problem dropping a bunt or diving for ground balls or shallow pop flies.

I'm not sure 3 big egos on the same team could win a championship.
But 2 and some solid role players could
