Injury News
Mitch Moreland (hamstring) was available to pinch-hit Monday night and should be ready to play Tuesday.
Moreland hasn't started the Rangers' past two games because of tightness in his left hamstring. "I'm not taking any chances," Rangers manager Ron Washington said Monday.

Colby Rasmus (abdomen) has been cleared by doctors to return to the Cardinals' starting lineup.
Rasmus underwent an ultrasound Monday on his abdomen to determine the cause of his mild discomfort. The test showed no structural damage and Rasmus should return to center field on Tuesday night

Weatherproof games: Yankees-Rays, Padres-Diamondbacks, Twins-Mariners.

The wet weather continues Tuesday in several parts of the country. The games at the most risk of delays and/or cancellations are:

Pirates-Nationals: With the first pitch scheduled at 1:05 p.m. ET, I don't see how this game will be played. Forecasts call for a 90 percent chance of rain from 1-4 p.m., followed by an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms lasting until at least 10 p.m.

Orioles-Red Sox: Fenway Park is expected to get pelted with rain all day, with a 60 percent chance of continued showers at game time (7:10 p.m. ET) that are not expected to let up until after midnight.

Marlins-Mets: It's the same story in Flushing, where Citi Field will get rained on all Tuesday morning and afternoon with a 70-80 percent chance of continued rain lasting into Wednesday morning.

Blue Jays-Tigers: Detroit has a 50 percent chance of showers at first pitch (7:05 p.m. ET), which drop to 30 percent at 10 p.m.

Cubs-Reds: Cincinnati likely will have a wet Tuesday, with a 50 percent chance of showers from 8 p.m. all the way to 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Giants-Rockies: This game will start at its 1:05 p.m. local time, but it might not finish without a rain delay or two because of isolated thunderstorms that have a 30 percent chance of popping up from 2-11 p.m.

Angels-A's: Oakland will see showers all Tuesday, with a 60-70 percent chance of precipitation at first pitch (7:05 p.m. PT) lasting until 3 a.m. local time.

I'm going to be adding some of the In The Dugout info in here in the next few minutes.

In this thread I want to get people more involved. Any info you feel that helps. Just drop it in here.

I know this will open some people up to putting on their clown shoes foclaugh
But I'm looking for a name to add to this daily thread.
Going to combine ITD with stats, trends, news ,weather and injury news
The best I came up with was "Tuesday MLB Around The Horn Report"

Line Up Alert

Chipper Jones (knee) is back in the Braves' starting lineup Tuesday against the Astros.
Jones was diagnosed this weekend with a small meniscus tear, but he was given a cortisone shot and is going to try to play through it

Jason Heyward (shoulder) will be back in the Braves' lineup Tuesday against the Astros.
Heyward took batting practice before Monday's game and was later able to appear as a pinch-hitter.

Looking at two possible plays from the info I have looked at so far.

I still like the Cubbies for a small play for what that's worth.  Volquez is conistent in some things...his wildness and his ability to give up big innings.  Looks like Hirschbeck might be in Volquez's head a bit.  If Garza can give them 6 decent innings, I like their chances enough for a play.  I also like "a run in the first inning" prop.

PIT/ WAS Postponed

Red Sox/O's and Mets/Marlins will be lucky to get their games in tonite.  Heavy rain forecasted for entire right coast.
Not sure I even like those games much. Working on Boston now. Seen Wakefield has been dusted off for the start.
The Mets game had a lot to like for the over...Except the ump. Monster under guy. He is 7-0 under on todays total the last 2 years.
However the Mets have gone over with him in the past

Cubs just missed. Ump being a homer ump and Volquez numbers vs them killed it.
Had the Cubs had a better team record or Garza had more starts with the ump.
Then I would have considered it for a small play.

Thanks Gamer, good to see you back posting and hope your boy is doing better. beer2
