College Basketball Betting TV Guide
By Dave Carey
St. John’s Red Storm at Duke Blue Devils, 12 p.m., ESPN (-19.5, 147)
St. John’s started a lineup entirely of first-year players in a 78-62 win over West Virginia. It was the first time the Red Storm used a starting unit comprised entirely of freshman since the 1927-28 season. And judging by the way the unit of Amir Garrett, Moe Harkless, Phil Greene, D’Angelo Harrison and Sir’Dominic Pointer performed, the group doesn’t figure to split up soon.
“We did some things that we haven’t done before,” St. John’s acting coach Mike Dunlap told the New York Post. “We ran. The blueprint that Coach (Steve) Lavin has put together to create excitement and a way of winning and a branding is running basketball. So I was pleased that beginning, middle and end, we ran.”
Marquette Golden Eagles at Villanova Wildcats, 12 p.m., ESPN2 (1.5, 150)
Maalik Wayns can’t afford to get in foul trouble. The Big East Player of the Week averaged 30.7 points per game over his past three before being limited to a team-high 19 on 7-of-11 shooting in a loss to Louisville.
Wayns was hampered by a pair of silly fouls at the start of the second half that relegated him to the bench. In his team's loss to Marquette this year, he was held to just 4 of 13 from the field for 12 points. If he can stay on the court, he could be difference this time.
“We practice without him in there,” Wildcats coach Jay Wright told the Philadelphia Daily News. “When you play that many games, you know it is going to happen some games.”
Texas Longhorns at Baylor Bears, 1 p.m., CBS (-9, 145)
The Longhorns aren’t just good at rebounding – they are great thanks to a fantastic team effort. Texas held a 41-34 edge in boards in a recent win over Iowa State as multiple players contributed.
Jaylen Bond and Julien Lewis each snared seven caroms, Alexis Wangmene had six and Clint Champman and Johnathan Holmes corralled five apiece in the victory. Overall, Texas is in the top four in the Big 12 in rebounding, claiming 37 per game.
"Toughness is the ability to do your assignment when you are tired, do your assignment when the heat is on," Texas assistant coach Chris Ogden told the Austin Statesman. "The guards have to help."
West Virginia Mountaineers at Syracuse Orange, 1 p.m., ESPNU (-12, 139)
Don’t count on Orange center Fab Melo suiting up for this one. The talented 7-foot sophomore averages 7.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game and has swatted a team-high 60 shots, but there has been no timetable set for his return due to academic issues.
It could “be a while” before Melo is able to take the court again for the Big East power, a source close to the team told Syracuse.com. Melo has continued to practice and interact with the team, but has been made unavailable for comment by the schools. Officials have declined to comment on his status due to academic privacy laws.
Kansas Jayhawks at Iowa State Cyclones, 2 p.m., ESPN (7, 141)
Conner Teahan hasn’t been much of a 3-point specialist for the Jayhawks lately. Teahan hit 27 of 65 triples his first 14 games but has been ice cold since, making just 5 of 23 shots from the distance the past six. As a result, he is putting up extra shots in the gym to try to shoot himself out of his funk. In the team’s most recent win over Texas A&M, he was just 1 of 5 from deep.
“I don’t even know what the numbers are, but when was the last time I made more than two threes in a game? I can’t remember,” he told the Lawrence Daily Journal-World.
Northern Iowa Panthers at Missouri State Bears, 5 p.m., ESPNU (-2.5, 125)
Caleb Patterson is hurt again for the Bears. The 6-foot-11 center averaged 15.5 points off the bench in six games since recovering from a concussion but turned his right ankle in a recent loss. Freshman Christian Kirk will continue to start in his place.
"Some guys are going to have to step up,” Missouri State coach Paul Lusk told the Springfield News-Leader. “We’re going to have to look at some things and see what we can figure out."
St. Mary’s Gaels at BYU Cougars, 9 p.m., ESPNU (-4, 150)
Damarcus Harrison could play big minutes for the Cougars. The highly touted freshman had just three points in nine minutes in a recent win at Virginia Tech, but sixth man Stephen Rogers is expected to be limited as he continues to struggle with his recovery from mid-December knee surgery. Harrison is averaging 3.6 points per game.
"I haven't been playing my best," he told CougarBlue.com. "Coaches told me this was a second chance to come on and compete again, practice hard and try and get back in the lineup.”

College Basketball News and Notes
By Brian Edwards
Gamblers have bets and ballgames galore to feast on Saturday in college hoops. Let’s start with an SEC showdown at the O-Dome in Gainesville, where Florida (16-4 straight up, 7-7-1 against the spread) will take on Mississippi St. at 1:45 p.m. Eastern on The SEC Network (channel 725 on DirecTV).
BetOnline.com opened the Gators as 9½-point favorites with a total of 145. In less than 20 minutes, the number was adjusted to 10. By 6:30 p.m. Eastern on Friday night, the total was moved to 147 at most betting shops.
UF is facing a quick turnaround after rallying to beat Ole Miss 64-60 Thursday night in Oxford. Billy Donovan’s club came out flat, falling behind 20-4 before cutting the deficit to 38-28 at intermission.
Bettors jumping on the Gators for halftime bets (-5.5, +4.5 adjusted) were able to easily cash tickets. Kenny Boynton drained four 3-pointers en route to scoring 12 points, while Erving Walker scored 10 points and dished out nine assists. Patric Young scored a team-high 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
The Rebels killed UF on the boards with a 36-18 advantage. However, the Gators made up for the rebounding deficit by taking care of the basketball with only six turnovers.
Florida is unbeaten in 12 home games, posting a 3-3-1 spread record. Assuming the line stays at 10 or more, we should note that UF owns a 3-4-1 ATS mark in eight games as a double-digit ‘chalk.’
Mississippi State (17-4 SU, 10-10 ATS) has won four of its last five games, including Wednesday’s non-covering victory over LSU by a 76-71 count as a nine-point home favorite. Arnett Moultrie remained the leading candidate to win SEC Player of the Year honors with another stellar effort, scoring 28 points to go with 12 rebounds.
The UTEP transfer has been dominant for the Bulldogs, averaging team-highs in points (17.1 PPG), rebounds (11.2 RPG) and FG percentage (56.3%). Moultrie has plenty of help thanks to the presence of senior point guard Dee Bost, who is averaging 16.0 points, 4.7 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game.
Rick Stansbury’s team has been an underdog six times, compiling a 5-1 spread record with three outright wins over Alabama, Vanderbilt, Arizona and Texas A&M.
The ‘over is 11-4 overall for the Gators, 6-1 in their home games. Meanwhile, MSU has seen the ‘over’ cash in its last three games and go 11-9 overall.
The WCC isn’t about just Gonzaga these days. With the addition of BYU along with the emergence of Saint Mary’s in recent years, the league now has three programs that are in the mix for an NCAA bid annually. The Gaels, who beat BYU 98-82 on Dec. 29, will look to sweep the season series when they venture into Provo on Saturday night.
BYU (18-5 SU, 10-9 ATS) stepped out of conference and flew across the country to collect a solid road win Wednesday at Va. Tech. The Cougars won a 70-68 decision over the Hokies as three-point underdogs. Brock Zylstra buried a clutch trey with 23 seconds left to put BYU up for good at 69-66.
Noah Harstock scored 22 points to go with seven rebounds, three blocked shots and a pair of steals for the winners. Brandon Davies added 17 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Saint Mary’s (20-2 SU, 10-7 ATS) hasn’t tasted defeat since a Dec. 22 loss to Baylor. Randy Bennett’s squad has won 10 in a row but is mired in a 2-5 ATS slump in its last seven contests.
The Gaels are led by Jones, a senior forward who began his career at San Diego and hit a game-winning jumper to propel the Toreros to a stunning win over UConn in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament. Jones is averaging 14.3 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.
As of early Friday night, most spots had BYU listed as a 2½-point favorite with a total of 152.
Dave Rose’s team has won 10 of its 12 home games while going 5-3 versus the number. BYU has a 2-2 spread record in four single-digit ‘chalk’ spots so far this year. As for Saint Mary’s, it has only been an underdog once, losing 72-59 to Baylor at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
When the Gaels cruised to an easy win over BYU as four-point home favorites last month, Rob Jones led the way with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Stephen Holt added 21 points, while Matthew Dellavedova finished with 18 points and 12 assists. Davies scored a game-high 28 points in the losing effort.
ESPNU will have the telecast at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
B.E.’s Bonus Nuggets
Middle Tennessee finally failed to cover the number in Thursday’s 71-58 home win over Troy as a 17-point home favorite. The Blue Raiders have the second-best spread record in the country with a 15-5 ATS ledger. They make the quick trip to Music City on Saturday to face Vandy at Memorial Coliseum. The Commodores opened as 8 1/2-point home ‘chalk’ at most spots.
BetOnline opened Alabama as a 9½-point home favorite vs. Arkansas, but the number was moved to 11 within a half-hour.
The top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats are nine-point road favorites Saturday at LSU. Tip-off in Baton Rouge is slated for 4:00 p.m. Eastern on The SEC Network. The total is 133.
Nevada owns the nation’s premier ATS ledger at 13-3. The Wolfpack make the long trek to Ruston on Saturday to take on Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs could be without one of their top players in Raheem Appleby (13.3 PPG), who is ‘questionable’ with a knee injury. Nevada has been installed as a six-point road favorite.
Best wishes to College of Charleston head coach Bobby Cremins, who has taken an indefinite leave of absence to deal with a health issue that isn't believed to be life-threatening. While doing a feature story on former Ga. Tech player T.J. Vines as a young writer for the Marietta Daily Journal, Cremins granted me an interview at media day and was as nice and courteous as can be. Here's to hoping he gets back to the Cougars soon. After a 10-2 start to the year, they have lost six of their last eight games.

Saturday's Best NCAAB Bets
No. 16 Mississippi State Bulldogs at No. 13 Florida Gators (-9.5, 145)
Bulldogs forward Arnett Moultrie is coming off his 12th double-double, a 28-point, 12-rebound effort in Wednesday’s win over LSU. Moultrie leads the SEC in rebounding (11.2) and ranks fourth in scoring (17.1).
He and guard Dee Bost (16.0 ppg) give the Bulldogs one of the best inside-outside combos around. In addition, guard Jalen Steele is getting hot. He’s scored 15 in each of the past two games.
Mississippi State has won four of five.
The Gators have won four straight, but had a brutal start at Ole Miss on Thursday. They had to rally from a 16-point, first-half deficit. Leading scorer Kenny Boynton, who averages 18 points, is scoring just 13.6 in SEC play.
Mississippi State is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings with Florida.
Pick: Mississippi State
Virginia Tech Hokies at Maryland Terrapins (3, 130)
No team is better at defending the 3-pointer than the Hokies, who hold opponents 25.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc and 39.3 percent overall.
At the same time, Virginia Tech is struggling offensively. In ACC games, the Hokies are averaging a league-worst 57.6 points and shooting a league-worst 37.2 percent. Aside from junior guard Erick Green, who averages 15.8 points, Virginia Tech lacks offensive weapons.
Under new coach Mark Turgeon, the Terps are trying to establish a tough, defensive identity.
They gave up 74 points in Wednesday’s home loss to Duke. But in their three previous home games, the Terps yielded an average of 58.6 points.
The under is 4-0 in Maryland’s last four home games, and 6-1 in the Hokies’ last seven games overall.
Pick: Under

Pick 'n' roll: Saturday's Best NBA Bets
Los Angeles Lakers at Milwaukee Bucks (5, 182)
Metta World Peace, the former Ron Artest, played a big role in the Lakers’ 96-91 win over the Clippers on Wednesday. Not only did he have seven assists, five rebounds and three points, he got in a scrum with Blake Griffin that energized the Lakers.
"Everybody played with the right attitude, the right temperament," Kobe Bryant said. "Everyone did what they do best. Metta was himself. He wasn't trying to be this peaceful guy. I told him he just has to be who you are and we'll surround you and Pau (Gasol), as well, and myself. It was good."
It could be a turning point for the Lakers, who were being called the second-best team in L.A.
While the Lakers traveled, the short-handed Bucks played at Chicago on Friday. Center Andrew Bogut is out eight to 12 weeks with a fractured ankle he suffered Wednesday in a win at Houston.
The Bucks are 0-7 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days’ rest.
Pick: Lakers
Sacramento Kings at Utah Jazz (NA)
In their 122-93 home loss to Denver on Wednesday, the Kings did not exactly protect the paint. The Nuggets scored 92 points in the paint, leaving Sacramento coach Keith Smart at a loss.
“We didn't have any resistance in the paint," Smart said. “We just got broken down too many times. Contain the ball in front of you. When you can't contain the ball you're going to give opportunities to a good team that can get into the paint and finish around the basket."
Guard Marcus Thornton remains sidelined with a significant hematoma in his left thigh.
The Jazz played in Dallas on Friday, carrying an 8-3 ATS streak into that game.
Sacramento is 3-10 ATS in its last 13 games against winning teams, and 1-5 ATS in its last six road games. Utah is 8-3 ATS at home.
Pick: Jazz

NCAA Basketball Picks
St. John's at Duke
The Blue Devils look to take advantage of a St. John's team that is coming off a 78-62 win over West Virginia and is 1-8 ATS in it last 9 games following a SU victory. Duke is the pick (-17 1/2) according to Dunkel, which has the Blue Devils favored by 21 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Duke (-17 1/2). Here are all of today's early games.

Accuscore - Soccer by Shahan Ahmed
In over 3 months since I started my analyst picks series for AccuScore, I am 34-15, 69%, and +2,381 in profit. What is the 2,381 units based on? Well, if you started with 500 units in my 1st weekend of making picks (putting 100 units on each of my expert picks), you would now have 2,381 units in total profit. Not bad, eh?
My method is quite simple, really. I use my experience watching football, study the computer’s top picks and trends, and then, I combine the two factors to make picks. Also, I keep schedules in mind.
This week, I’ve put out 1 FA Cup expert pick for the Manchester United v Liverpool tie from Anfield and 3 Bundesliga picks. The FA Cup pick is a bit different because AccuScore does not cover domestic cups. AccuScore covers the top 4 leagues and the Champions League. Since Champions League doesn’t start for a few more weeks, I’m stepping out on my own on this week’s FA Cup pick. However, there’s value in making this pick, so I had to include it.
Top 4 Picks for the Weekend of 27th January, 2012
1: Schalke v FC Cologne: Schalke at 1.962
According to the computer, Schalke is 59,9% likely to win away to Cologne. Oddsmakers currently have Schalke at 50% to win, so there is value in making this pick according to the computer. The computer is 6-2 when judging value on winning for Schlake with a 700 unit net profit. With all other pertinent trends not proving much insight, this seems to be a value play. Cologne lost in their return from the winter break to Wolfsburg while Schalke looked strong against Stuttgart last week.
2: Borussia Dortmund v TSG Hoffenheim: Under 2.5 or 3
This is a trends pick. AcuScore is 7-3 when finding value in picking the Under with Dortmund and 12-4 in Totals picks overall with Dortmund. Also, AccuScore is 7-2 when picking Under with Hoffenheim, so the trends apply to both teams. Like I said, personally, I would think Dortmund would score 2 goals, but this is a trends pick.
3: Borussia Monchengladbach away to Stuttgart: ‘Gladbach to win at 2.810
Borussia Monchengladbach are good. They beat Bayern Munich 3-1 last weekend and played incredibly effectively on the counter. They have the quickest and strongest counter attack in the Bundesliga. Stuttgart looked out of sorts against Schalke last weekend, but Stuttgart are a much stronger side in front of their home fans. That is why ‘Gladbach is getting such good odds. AccuScore calculates Gladbach to have a 50.2% chance of winning, far higher than the 35% currently attributed to the team 1 point back of the head of the table.
4: FA Cup: Manchester United v Liverpool: Manchester United to win at 2.860
Liverpool looked good against Manchester City in the Carling Cup on Wednesday, and they’ve been a strong side at Anfield this season. However, they still lack fire power with Suarez suspended. Also, Fergie particularly loves to beat the Reds. United have the good fortune of being rested, and this pick is based on two factors. First, United last played a week ago, while Liverpool played during midweek, so United are the more rested squad. Craig Bellamy has been the spark for Liverpool, but the 32 year-old has played far too much recently. Second, Liverpool have not consistently had it this season, so expecting them to beat Manchester City and United back to back is a tough ask. At 2.86, it’s hard to pass up a Manchester United pick.

Triple Threat Sports!
1* North (-) over South
These All Star games are all about QB play, and the North throwers are simply better - and very importantly more suited to the NFL game - than those on the South squad. The South has Nick Foles of Arizona, Ryan Lindley of San Diego State (who we think will have the best numbers of the three South QB's in this game) and Brandon Weeden of Oklahoma State. The latter has put up amazing numbers, but that was in a system designed for amazing numbers, and now he is being asked to adapt to a pro system. On the other hand the North has pro style pocket passers in Kirk Cousins of Michigan State and Kellen Moore of Boise State to go along with Russel Wilson of NC State/Wisconsin. The latter can produce from the pocket but also adds mobility, and the ability to improvise is crucial in All Star games like this. The talent on the other spots on the roster is even overall, but the QB play will be the difference here.
Dave Cokin
Saint Marys Ca vs BYU
Pick: BYU
St. Mary's is a rock solid entry but this will be a difficult spot for the Gaels. BYU can be very tough at home and it sure sounds like the Cougars are excited about this game, which appears pivotal as far as their post-season hopes are concerned. The number is a bit of a hurdle, but I'm going with BYU to get the job done tonight.
Rob Vinciletti
Tulsa vs. SMU
Play: Tulsa -2.5
Tulsa has won and covered 11 of 14 times in this series and has home loss revenge here for a 57-55 loss as an 8.5 favorite. Tulsa has won their last 5 and is 6-1 in Conference play. When the are a road favorite from -3 or less they have won and covered 4 of the 5 times. Tulsa is 3-1 vs teams ranked 150 to 200 in the RPI. SMU is 4-13 vs teams who allow 65 or less points per game and 2-6 ats vs winning teams. When they are a home dog of 3 or less they are 3-10 straight up and ats. Look for Tulsa to get the win and cover tonight.
Hollywood Sports
Hawaii at Idaho
Play: Hawaii
The Warriors (11-9) have lost three of their last four games after their 77-72 loss at Utah State on Thursday as a 10-point underdog. Hawaii has rebounded to cover the point spread in 4 of their last 5 games after a loss. The Warriors have also covered 5 of their last 6 games after exceeding expectations with a point spread victory. Hawaii has also covered 8 of their last 11 games against fellow WAC opponents. Idaho (11-9) is 7-3 at home this season but they only have a +3.1 net point differential on their home court. The Warriors are 2-4 on the road this season but they do possess a respectable net point differential of -3.6 away from home despite that losing road record. Hawaii has covered the spread in 8 of their 11 road games against teams with a winning record at home. The Vandals have failed to cover the spread in 6 of their last 7 home games against teams with a losing record on the road. Idaho comes off a 74-62 win against San Jose State but they have failed to cover the spread in 5 of their last 6 games following a victory. The Vandals have also failed to cover the spread in 7 of their last 9 games against WAC opponents. Lastly, the deeper net Points-Per-Possession metrics in conference play (my favorite college basketball metric) suggests that Hawaii is undervalued as a 5.5-point underdog in this matchup. Idaho is tied for 2nd in the conference with a 4-2 record. However, their net PPP efficiency margin of -0.03 in WAC play is 6th in the conference (Offensive PPP: 1.06; Defensive PPP: 1.09). Hawaii is 3-3 in the conference -- but their +0.02 net PPP efficiency margin in the conference (Offensive PPP: 1.08; Defensive PPP: 1.06) is 3rd best in the WAC. Hawaii is a little better than their record while Idaho looks due for a reality check. The Warriors should keep this game very close.
Scott Spreitzer
UNLV at Air Force
Prediction: UNLV
The Runnin' Rebels received a scare in Boise, Idaho last time out. UNLV was obviously flat from the opening tip and they were also a bit surprised and shocked when they met a matchup zone defense employed by the Broncos. The Rebels had to go to OT before finally winning the contest. They shot too many 3-pointers (34) and were quite fortunate to "can" 13 of them. Overall, the Rebels made just 34.8% against Boise. The Rebels have not played 2 straight uninspired games in a row this season and I doubt this veteran bunch will start now. Air Force is 8-2 SU at home. That success - plus their close call the other night will keep UNLV focused on the task at hand. The Falcons haven't reacted well to UNLV's athleticism, scoring just 47.8 ppg in their last 8 meetings, all Rebel wins. AFA did not top 53 points in any of the 8 tilts. UNLV is 5-1 ATS off a spread loss, while AFA have covered just 7 of their last 28 as an underdog of 7 to 12 1/2 points. I'm recommending a play on UNLV on Saturday.
Jim Feist
Wichita State vs. Drake
Play: Wichita State -9½
Wichita State is locked in a battle for first place in the MVC with Creighton. They are a stellar road team this season and 18-3 overall. The Shockers are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 13-6 ATS in their last 19 road games. Drake is 5-5 in the conference, the Bulldogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. Play Wichita State!
Marc Lawrence
Middle Tennessee State @ Vanderbilt
PICK: Middle Tennessee State +8.5
There’s nothing ‘Blue’ about the Raiders’ 15-4 ATS log this season. The nation’s top money earners are also 14-1 ATS when not favored by more than 13 points and a perfect 5-0 ATS when taking points this season. And against .500 or greater opposition this season, the Raiders have certainly not lost their ‘Arc’, posting a 6-0 SU and 5-0 ATS mark. This non-conference affair also finds the Commodores in the middle of a nasty SEC revenge sandwich. While Vandy did get some payback on Tuesday against a Tennessee team who swept them last season, the Commies are just 4-11 ATS after facing their archrivals from Knoxville. We also have a feeling that Kevin Stallings’ squad may be peeking ahead to a Tuesday night matchup at Arkansas against a herd of hogs that came into Nashville last year as 13-point dogs and ran away with a 89-78 victory. With a winless (0-3) record in this series, we can’t call for a Raiders’ outright win, but we do suggest grabbing the points as this ‘blue-headed’ stepchild appears to have a few more teeth this season. We recommend a 1-unit play on Middle Tennessee state.
Sean Murphy
San Jose State @ Utah State
PICK: Utah State -13
It's getting down to crunch time for the Utah State Aggies. After a tough start to the month, they picked up a much-needed win over Hawaii on Thursday night, pulling back to an even 3-3 in conference play.
This looks like an ideal spot for the Aggies to build some positive momentum, as they host San Jose State.
The Spartans are essentially in a rebuilding year, and it's showed. They're just 7-14 SU and 6-10 ATS in lined games this season, and have yet to notch a victory in conference play.
This is a tough scheduling spot for San Jose State, as it plays its second road game in three days, following a hard-fought 74-66 loss at Idaho on Thursday.
Utah State owns a strong home court edge, having posted a 9-2 SU record on this floor this season. The Aggies slipped up against a fast-rising Nevada squad here at home earlier this month, but has also posted impressive double-digit victories over Kent State and Fresno State on this court over the last five weeks.
San Jose State had a much stronger team a year ago, and managed to stay competitive in two of three meetings with Utah State, but still came up empty on all three occasions. Without Adrian Oliver and Justin Graham to lean on, I suspect the Spartans will be in tough against a highly-motivated Aggies squad on Saturday night.
Matt Fargo
Richmond at Saint Bonaventure
Play: Saint Bonaventure -4.5
St. Bonaventure destroyed Fordham at home last Saturday and it followed that up with an overtime win at Rhode Island on Wednesday. While that won't qualify as a quality win and not even a good win but it is significant in what didn't happen. If the Bonnies had lost that game, it could have been a disaster as the Rams are the only winless teams in the A-10. Past St. Bonaventure teams would have gone on the road and lost but this team is different and it rides confidence into a big game. Richmond is coming off a similar mauling of Fordham on Wednesday as it rolled by 44 points. That snapped a two-game losing streak for the Spiders but I am still not sold on this team yet. They were one of the top team in the country last season but they lost a significant amount of talent and while it isn't a rebuilding project, things are not as good. Richmond already has six road losses which is twice as many as all of last season and it is going to a place that has been tough on opponents. The Bonnies are 7-1 at home and they are one of only four teams in the Atlantic Ten that have played fewer home games than road games and that is significant. It shows they have been tested more and that they have not scheduled a big amount of home games against cupcake teams that don't help at all going forward. They have won six straight games at home and are a perfect 3-0 at home in conference games, including a very solid win against Dayton. This is the first time in a while that the Bonnies have an edge and they take advantage. They have edges both offensively and defensively in terms of points and shooting and they also have a big edge down low with a +8.6 rpg margin between the two teams. St. Bonaventure has not been in position very often to extract any sort of revenge but that is finally the case here. The Bonnies have faced Richmond once in each of the past three years and was blown away each time, losing by 16, 19 and 27 points. Now its their turn.

Saturday's Best Senior Bowl Bet
North at South (+2.5, 45.5)
The 2012 Senior Bowl pits some of the best college seniors from the North against some of the best seniors from the South in what has become a major showcase for anyone hoping to have their name called in this April’s NFL Draft.
Kickoff from Ladd-Peebles Stadium is slated for 4 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on the NFL Network.
Leslie Frazer and the coaching staff of the Minnesota Vikings will be at the helm of the North squad this year as they get the advantage of having an early look at some players that might fit their roster next season.
The North features a pair of quarterbacks that are looking to improve their current stock for this year’s draft. Boise State’s Kellen Moore and Wisconsin’s Russell Wilson are expected to share duties running the offense on Saturday. Moore finished this season with 3800 yards passing and 43 touchdowns while completing 74.3 percent of his throws. Wilson led the Badgers to an 11-2 record before losing to Oregon 45-38 in the Rose Bowl. He threw for 3,175 yards and 33 TD’s.
A couple of other players on the North’s roster that are looking to make an impact in this game are running back Doug Martin, also from Boise State, wide receiver Marvin Jones from California, and defensive lineman Mark Martin, out of Michigan. 2012 College Football – Senior Bowl Handicapping 2012 NFL Draft
The South will be led by Mike Shanahan and the coaching staff of the Washington Redskins. Considering that Washington is one again in the market for a quarterback, Shanahan will get an up-close and personal look at Oklahoma State’s Brandon Weeden, who passed for 4.727 yards while completing 72.3 percent of his passes. A couple of other quarterbacks on the South’s roster are Nick Foles, out of Arizona and San Diego State’s Ryan Lindley.
The running game for the South will be well represented with Baylor’s Terrance Ganaway, who rushed for 1,547 yards this season and Vick Ballard, out of Mississippi State. He ran for 1,189 yards this season while averaging 6.2 yards a carry.
A couple of other standouts on the South from this season’s national champion Alabama Crimson Tide include wide receiver Marquis Maze, tight end Brad Smelley, and defensive back DeQuan Menzie. The runner-up LSU Tigers will be represented by offensive lineman Will Blackwell, tight end DeAngelo Peterson, and defensive back Brandon Taylor.
It is hard to know what to expect in a game such as this as past trends have little or no bearing on predicting this year’s outcome. In looking at both rosters, the overall talent level tends to favor the South in what should be another hard-fought close game.
